Its thickness ranges from 3.8 mm at its widest point to 1 mm at the edges. The casing is milled from a single piece of metal, giving it durability and a premium look without visible seams. The main feature of the Muse is its magnetic connection. Thanks to the built-in PogoPin connector and the special SnapLink cable, the drive easily attaches to MagSafe-compatible iPhones. This is not just a convenience, but a step towards tighter integration of external drives with mobile devices. Now you don't have to worry about wires or accidental disconnections. For those who shoot high-resolution video, the Muse opens up new possibilities. iPhone 15 and newer models will be able to record Apple ProRes 4K video at up to 120 frames per second directly to this SSD. This solves the problem of quickly filling up the smartphone's internal memory when working with large files. Read speeds of up to 1050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000 MB/s allow you to transfer these files between your phone and computer without long waits. Lexar plans to release the Muse in the fourth quarter of 2026. For now, it's a concept, but it demonstrates how portable drives can become an integral part of the smartphone ecosystem, offering not only additional space but also seamless integration.
